Have you seen Ohio rise?

Here I sit in a typical hotel room checking my email while Rhonda puts some things away. We’re here in Ohio for the weekend to visit her old college and see some friends. We haven’t been back here since her graduation twelve (or so) years ago and a few things have changed but it’s not too different. Yesterday we made a stop outside of Pittsburgh to visit folks there as well and then traveled the rest of the way this morning. Other than a few random thunderstorms, it’s been a great couple of summer days to drive. We love road trips and look for any reason to take one… if there’s a slim chance that we can justify it then we will. So far this one has been pretty cool since we’ve managed to take in some beautiful scenery on the way. There’s nothing better than driving by an amazing lake or the greenest hills, listening to some great music and looking over to see my lovely (6 month) pregnant, sleeping wife. There’s much for this undeserving man to be thankful for.

Keep a look out for pictures sometime this weekend and maybe a story or two when I get a chance. I think it’s about time for dinner and maybe a late movie if there’s time… talk to you soon!
