Baby, it’s cold outside…

Christmas is almost here and we’ve been busy shopping, decorating and finishing other random holiday chores in the bitter cold. Our heater started screwing up recently so we had to get that fixed. I’m glad we did because it’s getting colder every day and if it gets any colder, I’ll start to look like the T1000 in Terminator 2 (if you’ve seen it, you’ll know what I’m talking about… if not, please move on). This weather would be a good excuse to get a pet penguin though, that would be awesome!

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and say howdy since I probably won’t be online much until after New Years. This week will bring much traveling, food and maybe a movie or two (King Kong!!!!). Speaking of movies… we went to see The Chronicles of Narnia which was fantastic! I loved the books as a kid and have been rereading them in preperation for the movie(s?). Hearing Aslan the lion roar in surround sound and seeing little Lucy meet Mr Tumnus for the first time was a blast. I think it’ll become a holiday classic for me (Santa does stop by in the movie so that qualifies it!) along with the recently added Elf and old classics like The Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Rudolph, Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, etc. Most of those movies will probably be watched this friday as we have our annual Christmas movie marathon tradition, should be fun! Now all we need is some snow!

If I don’t stop by before hand, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year! Grace and peace to you all.

In Christ alone,
